NEW RATES from 1st January 2018
Accepted payment methods: cash, cheque, voucher, holiday cheque, CLARC, debit card (minimum €1).
(1) Free for under 7s, unemployed persons and those receiving social benefits, professional photographers and journalists, teachers of the Indre-et-Loire département, upon presentation of an educational project linked to the site, officials of the Indre-et-Loire département, their partners and children (upon presentation of the COS card), kinship carers.
(2) Young persons between the ages of 7 and 18, students, teachers, disabled persons and one person accompanying disabled persons, large family card holders, ambassador card holders of another monument of the Indre-et-Loire general council, full rate ticket holders (max. 1 year) from Ronsard House, Rabelais Museum, Islette Château or a PASS OUEST TOURAINE partner (Château d'Azay-Le-Rideau, Forteresse royale de Chinon, Château de Villandry, Château de Langeais, Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud, Château du Rivau, and wine estates Château de l’Aulée in Azay-le-Rideau and Chai Pierre et Bertrand Couly in Chinon), tourist passports, groups of more than 10 persons, those accompanying Balzac museum ambassador card holders.
(3) Valid for one full year, gives, among others privileges, unlimited entry to the museum, reduced rate for an accompanying person, reduced rates in other Indre-et-Loire general council sites for the holder. See all the privileges offered by the Privilege Pass.
(4) Free for secondary school pupils of Indre-et-Loire and nursery and primary school pupils.
The Balzac museum bears the Qualité Tourisme (Quality Tourism) brand, in acknowledgement of the quality initiative which it has been involved in for several years alongside some forty other Loire Valley sites and in partnership with the Agence Départementale du Tourisme de Touraine (Départemental Tourism Committee of Touraine).
